At the start of July, Jaltek Systems successfully completed surveillance assessment under the Aerospace AS9100 scheme. The surveillance is carried out by the British Standards Institution (BSI) and is a rigorous, in-depth view of processes relating to all aspects of the quality of the product, from quote to final inspection and despatch.
In the view of Neil Stanton, Quality Manager at Jaltek, the audit was of a high standard; “The assessor was extremely thorough and focussed on the requirements of the Standard and the controls that ensure that Jaltek meet all Critical to Quality characteristics of the product, both in terms of build and delivery. The audit spanned three and a half days and evaluated all parts of the process which can give Jaltek and our customers the confidence that we meet the exacting standards required by organisations working in the Aviation, Space and Defence industries.”
Jaltek have held certification to AS9100 since 2009 and also hold certification to ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) and Kitemark to IPC-A-610.
