Jaltek have recently augmented their conformal coating capability. Added to their portfolio is a new water based polyurethane coating named 1H20 UR5 (or ‘UR5’ for short). This coating is qualified to MIL-I-46058C and IPC-CC-830B Class B. It provides excellent moisture insulation resistance, good dielectric properties, is abrasion resistant and can be chemically removed or soldered through for component rework.

Jaltek apply this coating using a controlled dipping method. UR5 complements their existing 1B31 acrylic coating; a fast air drying coating providing excellent moisture and environmental protection for printed circuit assemblies. 1B31 is either spray or brush applied.
