/Make UK Manufacturing Awards 2020: Jaltek shortlisted in two categories

Jaltek are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in two categories for the Make UK Manufacturing Awards 2020.

The annual event promotes manufacturers for exceptional work in their sector. Every year hundreds of businesses contend to be among the best in their region.

We have been shortlisted in both the SME of the Year and the Business Growth and Strategy categories for the East Midlands region:

SME of the Year: "This award has been developed to champion businesses with less than 250 employees who have blazed a trail within the manufacturing sector. They will have led by example and developed progressive best practice for others in the industry. They will have shown exceptional initiative, boldness and dynamism, as well as exemplary management practices".

Business Growth and Strategy: "This award has been developed to recognise the most dynamic business growth based on an actively managed and consistently delivered growth strategy. This could include business expansion, product diversification or the implementation of a new international trade strategy".

Commenting on the nominations, Steve Pittom, Jaltek’s Managing Director said, 'We are thrilled to be shortlisted for these awards in highly competitive categories and I am proud of the team effort and hard work that has got us to this point. The business has evolved and grown significantly in recent years and this success is down to our team, customers and suppliers. The culture within our business is collaborative, enabling and always open to meeting new challenges. This has become even more apparent recently. We didn’t hesitate in joining the fight against COVID-19 by applying our skills to The Ventilator Challenge and the staff were enthusiastic about lending their support. The projects involved NPI, quick turnarounds and long hours. The team relished the opportunity to contribute and work together for a common cause. The experience brought everyone closer together and the camaraderie brought out the best in everyone involved'.
